The Twitter link below is absolutely frightening. Patriot Front is the name of the right wing hate group. This was yesterday in Washington. As someone wrote, they are the adult children of the KKK. The hood and robes are gone. But the faces are covered. Notice the American Flag is upside down. I am beginning to believe “PATRIOT” is a dog whistle for white supremacy. In DeSoto county, we have a “Patriot Candidate” for Sheriff. And frankly, that scares me. As it should scare you. Our personal freedoms are being attacked by those who say or post “Family Faith Freedom”. When what they mean is their definition of a family – 1 man 1 woman. And according to M T Greene a stepmother is not a mother. Google it. They mean their Faith, not yours. Their Freedoms, not yours. Democrats must stop people like Chris McDaniel. Democrats must stop those candidates who use dog whistles and want to take back America. Take America back where exactly? They have been successful and taken reproductive and health care for Women. The freedoms of the LBGTQ are under attack. And of course, their continued favorite is the Civil Rights of African Americans. Patriots want to bring Jim Crow back with a vengeance. They have been successful in our capital city. Make no mistake about it. If the current administration in Jackson is reelected it will only get worse for Mississippi. We must elect Brandon Presley, Greta Kemp Martin and Shuwaski Young. We must elect Democrats for the House, Senate and locally. Democrats must vote.
